Since the beginning, the ties between music and territory and the integration of the landscape and unique cultural sites into the festival have been a characteristic feature of Klangspuren Schwaz. Over the course of the more than twenty-year festival history, events have been staged in a number of unusual settings, for example in the tennis hall in Schwaz, the livestock auction hall in Rotholz, beneath the Gothic roof truss in St. Mary’s Ascension Church in Schwaz, in the wine cellar of the Enzenberg Palace, or before breathtaking natural backdrops in the direct vicinity. With the recent opening of the Silbersaal at the SZentrum, Klangspuren has found a new venue in the heart of the city, and yet it is always on the lookout for new places whose special flair can give rise to unique musical experiences.
