Inaugurated in 2018, the House of Music stands a stone’s throw from the historical center of town with its “Goldenes Dachl” and not far from the Court Church with its famous bronze statues (“Schwarzmandern”); it gazes at the façade of the Imperial Palace across the way and beyond that, at the steep cliffs of the Inn Valley Range. Together with the Tyrolean State Theater and the surrounding historical buildings they form the ensemble of the cultural quarter of the City of Innsbruck. Since 2019, the House of Music has not only hosted various concerts but also the master class of the Klangspuren International Ensemble Modern Academy. Over the years, Klangspuren has had held concerts or shown sound installations at various venues throughout the state capital, e.g. at the Treibhaus, Hofgarten pavilion, Tyrolean State Conservatory, SOWI auditorium, p.m.k, Leokino, Innsbruck Cathedral, and on Maria-Theresien-Strasse.
