04:00 p.m., Innsbruck, Haus der Musik, Universitätsstr. 1
Innsbruck’s new House of Music will be transformed into a beguiling sound labyrinth, through which the audience can move freely. The exact program is still to be announced.
International Ensemble Modern Academy participants and students of the Tyrolean State Conservatory (Ensemble konStellation)
Follow the participants of the International Ensemble Modern Academy (IEMA) and explore Innsbruck’s new House of Music. The second Wandelkonzert meanders through the spaces of the Mozarteum University and the State Conservatory of Tyrol, framed by two pieces by Mark Andre: Miniatures for string quartet, iv 13, and the quintet Asche, which will be performed in the Kleine Saal (closed doors). The pieces will be played simultaneously in various rooms whose doors will remain open, allowing listeners to enter and leave whenever they want. In this way, each visitor can discover his or her own path through this enchanting sound labyrinth. The musicians will be playing chamber music pieces written for various instruments by Pascal Dusapin, Conlon Nancarrow, Emmanuel Nuñes, Rebecca Saunders, Salvatore Sciarrino, and Vito Žuraj, among others. And if wandering along these convoluted paths makes you hungry, you can book dinner afterwards at Café Brahms.
